Out for a walk

March 17th, 2012

Out for the first walk of its life, this Yellow-bellied Slider is headed for the Wetlands (3/17/12).

The turtle above was seen on the path above the Lemur House. I received a report from a visitor that they had also seen a hatchling walking along the Dinosaur trail today.

Fresh from the nest, these little turtles are tiny and their shells still soft. Keep your eyes open for them as your stroll the grounds.

Enjoy!
