I have been working at the museum since 2003, and I feel fortunate to have a job where I can start my day with amazing animals surrounding me. I enjoy camping, hiking and rock climbing in my spare time when the weather is nice.
I work Tuesday through Saturday and spend a lot of time behind the scenes, but you might find me at a public program or feeding the farmyard animals in the afternoon.

QuikPost: Update on our female red wolf

February 7th, 2010

It looks like our girl went into estrous today! I saw her this morning with what looked to be some blood underneath her tail. It’s pretty remarkable that she started on February 9th/10th of last year, and she’s only a couple days off this year. Talk about having a regular schedule!

We will keep you posted on the male and female interactions for the next few weeks.

  1. There were several reports that the male wolf was howling yesterday! Related?

  2. I was just wondering about them. I hope they mate & make a healthy baby red wolf!!
